PowerBook G3 Kanga...  Received the essential upgrade and now sports 128+MB RAM! Whoo hoo! Bonesaw is ready and the Orinco wireless is ready. A great hack for those with AirPort slots but no AirPort card.

Yesteryear today Amiga 500 and Bodega Bay expansion- as a young un - before the domination (well complete domination) of MS Win: I had a dream of a cross--platform powerhouse running on the A500/Bogeda. Essentially one machine would run BridgeBoard x86 DOS apps (WP, Lotus 123) and Mac emulation (hmm forget the specific product) and of course Amiga Workbench on top of it all.  Today people enjoy Parrallel on MacBooks allowing XP and OSX to run on current hardware.

Crisco The Population:
One of the developments along the way to modern expansion buses of PCI-E and todays ExpressCards (new PCMCIA standard) would be the MicroChannel Architecture of IBM. Concerned that clone makers were usurping IBMs rightful (cough) place as Gatekeeper of the PC market, IBM re-engineered the off-the-shelf ISA bus and made the Patent Protected Copyright Blocked MCA bus. Auto configure (mostly) it was plugnplay with a Reference Disk needed for your Personal System/2 to understand the configuration abilities of the card. The clone industry was not going to pay the licensing costs (per PC made!) to put mca in their machines and a consortium soon developed the EISA bus. The benefit being that it was backward compatible with customers large investment in ISA expansion cards.

RARE PHOTOS AND EXCITING PHOTOGRAPHY OF CLASSIC GAMES

View classic full color video games running on semi-modern computers - - If you are disappointed with current "glam" 3d isometric fully textured horse-pocky - relive what gaming meant when limited resources meant gameplay took priority over eyecandy!

Of note: Disney's Stunt Island! I found an old COMPUTE! magazine review that says it all:

Aimed at film buffs and flight-simulator fans, Stunt Island seems too rare and too powerful to simply be called a game. With its straightforward approach to moviemaking, it could find a home in film school editing classes, and it just might inspire the next Spielberg--possibly you
